Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

Playing on which site?

If PokerStars: You need to request and import any/all your tournament histories and import those to HM. Stars does not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive, like FTP does.

Pokerstars > Lobby > Requests > Tournament History .. > 200

Then you have to create a text file, from the email, to import to HM.

Playing on pokerstars and importing all HH/sng, and have updated to latest version.

After closer inspection, all HHs/sngs are imported, the problem is with the filter. The filter function is simply not working properly.

For example:

The 20th feb. (HEM time), I played 77 18 man.

If I set the filter in HEM to: # players: 18-18, HEM has me playing 49.

If I set the filter to: # players 9-18, HEM has me playing all 77.

(After trying some back and forth, I have discovered that I need to set the #players anywhere from 1-18, to 9-18, in order for all the sng to show up).

Upon looking at the sng`s in data view when filtered from number of players 18-18, I noticed that HEM is only showing/counting the sng`s I finished 1st through 9th, not the ones I finished10th through 18th.

But when filtering from number of players from 1-9 to 18, HEM shows/counts all sngs, also the ones I finished 10th through 18th.

Here are the SN`s:

Filtered # players 18-18, feb 20th, stats coloumn:

Filtered # players 18-18, feb 20th, data view coloumn:
http://i54.tinypic.com/27x0bvd.png

As you can see from the above two SN`s, only sng`s where I finished 1st through 9th are counted, when setting the filter in HEM to #player 18-18,making both ROI and # games wrong.

Filtered # players 1-50, feb 20th, stats coloumn:
http://i52.tinypic.com/a173p1.png

Filtered # players 1-50, data view coloumn:
http://i54.tinypic.com/vyph5w.png

As you can see from the above SN, HEM is now counting the sng`s I finished 10th through 18th, making the #games and ROI correct.

There are more examples.

If I filter for $12 180man, HEM only shows/counts the sng`s where I finished 1st through 9th, making my ROI and winnings rather ludacris.

Filtered, #players 180-180, buy-in 12-12:
http://i55.tinypic.com/2mpx7w3.png

I have not found a way to filter out $12 180-mans. All HHs and sngs are in the HEM database, but the ones I sinished 10th through 180th just dont show up in the filtered version.

So apparently the filter is simply not working properly in several areas. But it is working for a few specific tourneys/sngs.

Did you import the summaries too?

I got the summaries from pokerstars, 3 html documents in a winzip file.

How do I make HEM import the winzip file, or the HTML documents?

"import file" in the import tab doesnt work.

Import file should work for html files.
You just need to edit the file extension *.html manually and select the files then.

Enter *.html in the file name field and press enter, then select the file

Unzip the files to your desktop.
Use the import from FILE on each file.

Are there incomplete results?
Or can you win a maximum of $24 in a SNG, and HoldemManager shows you won $500?

Attach the handhistory of such a game.

Attach the handhistory of such a game.

I detailed the problem in some earlier posts.
I had not imported the summaries earier, only HHs, which was what I thought was causing the problem.

However, I imported all the summaries, and it didnt change anything.

With regards to importing the summaries: I followed your instructions of unzipping the files to my desktop, and selecting them for import from "import file(s)" in HEM import tab.

As far as I could see, HEM detected and imported the files. However, I did NOT rename the files or type "*.html" anywhere when importing them. It was unclear to me if there was any purpose to renaming them, or typing "*.html" in the filename, as I was instructed by you earlier, but as I said, HEM seemed to import the files when they were unzipped to my desktop.

Just to re-cap on the problem, the cliffs are:

* HEM is giving me wrong SNG results for pokerstars: wrong # of SNGs played, and wrong ROI (for details on this, see eariler posts), when filtering for specific buyins and # of players.

* I had prior to this thread only imported hand histories, not summaries.

* After making this thread, I got all my summaries from pokerstars, in 3 html files in a winzip file.

* Following instructions from here, I unzipped the files (the summaries) to my desktop and imported the to HEM, through "import from file(s)" in the import tab.

* HEM seemed to import the files.

* Importing the summaries didnt do anything to fix the problem. HEM is still giving me wrong results as detailed in earlier posts.

My guess is that either
- the summaries were not imported properly, or
- the summaries were imported, but HEM is for some reason not able to update the information (it was a rather large database), or
- There is something wrong with my HEM.

Please zip and mail the original handhistory files and summaries (you find them in the HM archive folder or in the handhistory folder of your poker client) together with a link to this thread and an explanation of the problem to support@holdemmanager.net. We will then try to reproduce the problem.

The .htm files can't "update" results if the current results are already wrong.
(though it should be able to turn INCOMPLETE results into COMPLETE results)

As a test can you create a new empty database, import 1 handhistory file containing a hand played by your main PokerStars hero, and then import the .htm files.

When you import the .htm files, HoldemManager should show a popup where you must confirm what the name of the hero is.

Found the cause of the problem.

The summaries sent by pokerstars is not in the kind of summaries that HEM imports after every sng, it was just like an audit report taht doesnt help HEM in adjusting the results.

Furthermore PS is not able to duplicate older summaries, at least not all of them.

So there is nothing to be done with the older ones. Can only import summaries from now to get correct results from now on out.

Thanks for the support anyhow :-)

Have a good day :-)
