View Full Version : HEM Windows 8.1 Problems

Hello,

After downloading Windows 8.1, my HEM all of a sudden doesn't work.

I open it up, then it quickly prompts me, saying "In order to use HEM an Administrator must grant permission to run the software at least once. To grant permissions to the app, select the Authorize button and ask an Admin to enter their login info"

I have never seen this prompt before, but I press authorize, and I am the only Admin on the computer.

Then HEM directly goes to the gray screen, saying "A valid license could not be obtained for HEM. Please contact HEM for assistance. Copy details to clipboard."

I went to " C:\ProgramData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic." and deleted it, but that didnt do anything. This is the new log after deleting.

Windows 8.1 doesn't run programs with full super user administrator privileges. (resulting in the "An administrator must run the application at least once before limited users can be validated." error)

I have read post 4 in the link. I tried to do every step but it doesnt work.

step 1 put postgresql only read box unchecked. I can do this but when i close properties and open it again it is set to read only again. But i see thats normal in windows.

Also i dont have a hudfuncapps.exe file?

I think i have followed every step that is discribed, what now?

(hudfuncapps.exe is for hm2 only)

For HM1 delete the C:\ProgramData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic file.
1. Create a new text document in the Program Files(x86)/RVG Software/HoldemManager/Config folder and name it LicDebug
(so the full file name is Licdebug.txt)
2. Open HM and register
3. Close HM and delete the LicDebug.txt file

sharedlicenses folder was empty.
I created licdebug.txt and openened HM, a message came up i can't remember. It doesn't occur anymore. Then in HM i went to help> register and i logged in on the HM website. Closed HM deleted that file. Restarted HM, it seems to run now but the layout seems messed up. Tabs seem to be blank. For example the start auto import button is blank.

NVM i restarted hm for th 3rd time and it seems to work normal now. Thank you very much

If you aren't using HM1 version 1.13.02 Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release_1.13.02_10Oct2013.exe

I've been trying to get this to work for about an hour now and failing pretty badly. Is there anyway I can get someone to help me over skype or something? This is really frustrating. Pokervi7 on Skype.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using, and which error are you getting exactly?
Did you recently upgrade Windows 8 to Windows 8.1?

I just upgraded to windows 8.1 this morning. I'm getting exactly the same error that OP explained in the first post. I have AVG antivirus and windows firewall. I did try and follow the steps in the link you posted but couldn't get it to work

I did that but and when I open HMM it still does the same thing, I have no option to register HM

Reset your serial key.

This can be used to clear a code so that it can be used on a different pc or clear a code if your hardware profile changes and it doesn't allow you to continue.

Please go to Hold'em Manager Poker Software - Best Poker Tracking Software (http://www.holdemmanager.com) and signup with a new login name and password or use your existing account. After that, simply navigate to "Upload License Code" and you can quickly add your serial code and reset it whenever you need to.

hi, i'm new of the forum, i've the same problems, hm shows the same message, it's 3 days i try to found the problem with the support but anything work, now i'm trying your steps but i see that the folder ''sharedlicens'' is empty, without this holdemmanager.licfile.
if i reset my license on my profile. it doesn't work, if i reinstalling hm, it doesn't work, if i do all of the other stpes, it doesn't work, i'm really nervous, if anyone can help me by Skype this is my account ''delfoluca''.

If you continue to have registration issues, please send your Reg.log file from the C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs folder. If your Windows is hiding known file extensions the file will simply be called 'reg'.

hi,
i've just done all the steps, and i've send a mail to the support with the reg.log file,
my question is...it can be the problem that the file called sharedlicense is empty, so in my folder doesn't exist the holdemmanager.lic file.??
i've used HM1 for 3 years and now at the update to 8.1 it crashed in the same of the other, but i can find the solution;
for the reg.log file check for delfino182@hotmail.it at the support

If you continue to have registration issues, please send your Reg.log file from the C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs folder. If your Windows is hiding known file extensions the file will simply be called 'reg'.

i've just repley about it but it isn't here so, i've done all of steps and nothing changed, the folder called sharedlicense is empty so i can't delete the file, it not exist, i've just send the reg.log file to the support, check for email by delfino182@hotmail.it,

now with the licdebug it's work, after i delete it, it shows the message for the admin authorize, but finally, IT WORKS! (y)

Please give HoldemManager Administrator rights -

1) Go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)
2) Right-click the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator".
4) Do the same for HMImport.exe, HMHud.exe and DBControlPanel.exe
