Hi,

I had just started playing a table, only had 5 hands logged, and my VPIP was 50%. How does this happen? Can't remember how many hands I had actually played, but surely it's either 0, 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100%?

you played maybe 2 hands being SB, Button, cutoff, mp2, and fold or freeplay your BB.

Playing a BB freeplay is not included in VPIP

I get that it doesn't include the BB as part of the VPIP calculation, didn't realise that it excluded it entirely - so playing a full table of 6max means I only have 5 opportunities per round of vpip?

In that case if I folded every hand except the BB, I would have a higher PFR than VPIP?

PFR = pre flop raise.

If you raise, you Volontary put $ in pot, so your PFR can be egals with your VPIP if you raise every hands you play in, but can't be bigger.

If you check as BB you play the hand and VPIP/PFR don't change.
If you raise as BB, your VPIP and PFR are increased.
If you call as BB, your VPIP is inscread and FRP doesn't change.

Okay thanks. Still can't work out how you get a VPIP of 50% off 5 hands though.

Can you attach your 5 hands here please.

I've tried going back to find out where it happened, but my stats in the replayer show total stats up to that point, not the stats for the table, so I'm unable to locate them. I'll keep an eye out in future for this happening again, and post when/if it does.

Thanks.
