I have tired pretty well everything. It was working fine a few days ago, then I got a virus on my computer and it no longer will install. I keep getting the message

"Sorry, could not install PostgreSQL"

I followed the steps in this thread with no luck:

http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/25475-combo-installer-sorry-could-not-install-postgresql.html

I also have no third party virus software

I am requesting a teamviewer session, my username is Caddie44

thankyou

Which Operating System are you using?
Run a manual Windows Update and install all updates, including all .net framework and VC++ updates.

Is your secondary logon running? Turn on the secondary Logon. The secondary logon service is a standard windows service which is available on every windows computer. In the latest versions it is not started automatically. You need to start it via control panel > administrative tools > services.

If PostgreSQL 8.4.x won't install, install 8.2: http://ftp.postgresql.org/pub/binary/v8.2.22/win32/postgresql-8.2.22-1.zip to port 5433.

Using windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

I actually am now beginning to believe I still have a virus because I cannot do windows updates or start some services... Will do some more research

1) Click start - accessories
2) Right click command prompt
3) Choose Run as Administrator

Type:

sfc /scannow

Hit enter

4) Please schedule a disk check:

chkdsk /f /r C:

5) Hit enter

6) Restart your computer.

Afterwards, it will either show there are no integrity problems, or give a location for a file with errors. If this happens, please send us that file.
