View Full Version : Putting old/current database on new laptop

I'm settin up HEM on a new laptop (with linux) and quickly want to put a copy of my current database onto it. Am i dense because i can not quickly find instructions on doing this atm, Can someone please point me to how to do this right now? its urent since i need to leave town asap, thanks!

hi, while doing the backup/restore feature it says it 'could not find PostgreSQL installation directory'? I do hav postgresql...

Are both computers using the same version of SQL, both installed to the default folder?
Try using pgadminIII instead to backup/restore the database.
Since you're leaving town, also save your old archive folder to the new computer: C:/HMArchive, worst case scenario, you can just reimport your handhistories.
