View Full Version : many clicks to get the popups on ipoker

Hi

A fellow of pokerstrategy.fr has the problem that he has to click as 20 times to get a popup to open. On other rooms, he has not that problem. He installed the latests internal release.

What could be the problem?

Please reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework -

Afterwards, please make sure that you update windows completely. Keep checking to make sure that there are no more updates, until it shows twice, five minutes apart that there are no more updates available.

- Please export your HUD's in HUD Options.

- Then delete the prefs file in the config folder in*
8/7/Vista: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Application Data\HoldemManager



- Import your HUD's again.

- Set your seating preferences to match the site's seating preferences.

If there is none:
set it to "-" for the right HUD and site for each game type/# of players.
Open one table, make sure positions line up.
Click settings on the summary HUD on the table, find the HUD name, click Use for all

1 - Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts and multiple 'check for updates'), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser).
2 - Update your graphics drivers - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/362/HowToUpdateYourGraphicsCardDriver
3 - Update Logitech Setpoint - http://www.logitech.com/en-us/584/3131
4 - Set desktop theme to basic, default, or a non-aero theme - Disable Aero on Windows 7 or Vista (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-aero-on-windows-vista/) (this will be the same for win8/7)

did he clean up .net?

Hi

All updates are installed and the .net framework ist als reinstalled. Still the same... (however it need lees clicks: 3-4)....

Is he using any other programs at the same time? Let him try only the Ipoker client and HM running and start Ipoker as admin

1) Please make sure you are installing on an administrator account and running as an administrator.

2) Please turn off UAC.

3) You'll need to add:
- hmupdate.exe (only exists during update)
- holdemmanager.exe
- hudfuncapps2.exe
- postgres and pg_ctl, your poker client .exe
- table ninja.exe
- tablescannerdllloader.exe
- notecaddy.business.dll and notecaddy.contents.dll from the modules folder in holdemmanager's program files folder (you might have to type in the names in some firewalls, they do not show)

to the exceptions list in your firewall and antivirus. ****

4) Make sure that windows is fully updated. Keep checking for updates until it says twice five minutes apart that there are no more updates available.

5) You need to make sure that this folder*,

8/7/Vista: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Application Data\HoldemManager

as well as c:\postgresql (or c:\programfiles\postgresql), c:\programfiles\holdemmanager2, c:\hm2archive, c:\hmarchive and your site's hand history folder are each not read only** and that all permissions are set to full for your user name. ***

** You will need to right click the folder, open properties. At the bottom in Attributes, uncheck the Read-Only. The folder will continue showing read only after that, this is an issue in Windows

Unfortunately this is a known problem for some of the Ipoker skins (HM-4940). At the moment we have no solution for it. I have added your email to the bug report so you will be notified when its fixed.
