hmhud.exe doesn't update stats, import is fine

On stars on sometimes hmhud stops updating stats for players, busted players are still shown and filtered stats don't show.

A restart of the hmhud.exe fixes this.

Any thoughts?

A new problem has surfaced after updating hmhud 1.11.05f


Sometimes HUD overloay isn't visible on some stars tables, its very common and annoying.

But when i move the table with my mouse, the HUD appears.

Are you stacking tables or playing cascaded?
Or is it possible you are using two monitors, HoldemManager on one, the tables on monitor 2, so TableManager has difficulty finding the tables. (try turning off the Windows AERO interface if this is the case)

Also try to turn on: hud options--> player preferences--> lock the layout

I stack 30 tables on a single monitor. I'll play today with aero disabled and a locked layout.

just loaded the replayer, same thing. have to move window, then these empty stats. i have 10k hands on some of these players.

Had to update this thread to say the problem still exists. The stats stopping updating that is. Stats not popping up seems to be fixed after updating to the 1.11.06a final release.

Please check the configuration of your Stars client. Is it configured to write the handhistories to the folder: C:\Instant Hand Histories\PS

Please try a reindex of your database via pgadminIII->maintenance.
If that doesn't help you should create a new database for a test, import some of your hands and test some tourneys with this database.

I already reindexed regularly, while this problem existed, so i'll skip that one. I'll create a new database and report back here.

Was sick for a few days so couldn't test a new database, today however i played 120 sngs and everything seemed fine. It was in my last sng where it happened again.

I ended hmhud.exe and started it again, then it picked up fine not showing the 2 busted players anymore and nice filtered stats.


How do we proceed?

Which SQL version are you using?
Install SQL 9.0.3 (64 bit if you are using a 64 bit OS) to port 5433.
And reimport your hands into a new database linked to port 5433.

Don't know if this changes things, but just know i discovered that im missing some hands.

When i play sng's on stars i copy/paste the hands from the stars HH window to a text file for later review. Just now i tried to review a hand from the text file and after setting the hole cards, position and blinds filters in the tourney/hands column the hand did not show up in HEM.

I have maybe something that could shine a new light on this, the remote session didn't help the HUD problem.

Right now im running HEM 1.06c&postgreSQL 9 x64 on Windows 7 x64. Removed Norton and installed AVG.

What i noticed is the everytime the HUD problem happens my games are shorthanded and the table is shown twice in the Table Manager.

The table manager should not display your tables twice.

Are you using the stars hand replayer while playing?
Do you have duplicate entries in your auto-import folders?

No duplicates and no i don't run the HEM-HH replayer. I only run the Stars HH text and graphic replayer windows next to my stack of tables. The import folders were setup this way via remote session.

What happens if you deselect the duplicate table in TableManager? Does that make the duplicate HUD disappear?



Does the duplicate entry (in TableManager) suddenly appear when you get shorthanded--> causing the duplicate HUD. Or are some tables always shown twice in TableManager from the start?

Already running SP1 and will install latest beta, but all that never helps.

Yeah after playing about 8ish sets without the Stars HH Graphic replayer i didnt run into this issue one time. So it was the replayer, thank you so much for helping me find out about this.

I use the graphic replayer extensively to keep track of the outcome of my decisions in my stack of tables. Its just the easiest and least cumbersome way when grinding 30 tables. Will there be a future patch for HEM that allows me to run the Graphic HH replayer aside my stack of tables?

What do you guys say?
