Hi!

I have about 1,3M hands in my DB, of which I have played about 350k hands myself.

I can go to the Reports-tab and look on all my statistics without any problem (though it takes very long time to "load" everything). But when I go to the Hands-tab (all hands), it takes about one minute, and then HM crashes. SystemOutOfMemoryException.

It worked before, and the only things I've done since then is to reimport my hands from PokerTracker2 (missing some hands) and updated my HM from 1.06.04 to 1.06.04 rc3. Got just a few new hands from me reimport, so it can't possibly be that my DB is now suddenly too big to handle. I guess many people have A LOT more hands than me in their DB as well.

I have 2 gig RAM and a 2 GHz processor, so it shouldn't be that I have too bad of a computer.

Any solution to this?


Another thing; I miss around 3000 hands from my PT2-database (I play on Prima and iPoker 99% of the time). Some very big pots played recently (a month ago on Prima network). The strange thing is that at least 2-3 of them are all in pots against the same player (who only has letters in his name, so can't be because of his name), and I have succesfully imported other hands against him.

HM wont import some hands that PT2 succesfully imported. At the same time, PT2 wont import some hands that HM imported succesfully. This is kinda strange :-S I don't care if it's only small pots, but it seems to be mostly big pots.

I don't have any filters and I tried everything I can kinda :-/

Hello again!

My Internet has been down for two days, that's why I haven't been able to answer until now.

I have done everything you told me, and also got the very latest update, but still the same problem :-/ You think it will work if I re-install HM and re-import all hand histories again?

Btw, I have PostgreSQL version 8.2. Old versions maybe causing problems?!

Can you try to reinstall HM following those steps:

1) Make a backup of "Config" in a safe location
2) Export your HUDs via "HUD Options => Player Preferences"
3) Uninstall HM via the Control Panel
4) Go to Program Files and delete the RVG Software directory
5) Reboot your computer
6) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip
7) Upload HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate1.06.04beta.exe
8) Test if it works
9) Overwrite the backuped holdemmanager.config in the new Config directory to recover your settings
10) Import your HUDs

Tell me if it change something.

Just a sequrity question. If I uninstall HM, will my hand histories be safe? Where are they? :-S

Don't worry about your HHs, they are not in the HM directory but in the directory of postgreSQL, in another location on your hard drive.

It happens when you don't have installed the main version first. The update is just a patch.

Be sure you have installed this one before the patch:

Try to reapply the patch too. Sometimes it's just a random bug which appends only one time.
Or reboot your computer before installing the patch.

But my original problem still remains :-( Maybe my computer is just f*cked up and it's needed to format C:\ .. but I think I rather live with this problem ;-)

Since you reinstalled HM it probably put these columns back, can you remove then and then run a vacuum http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/?f=60 and if it the problen still persists ill escalate this to Roy

Same problem :-/ Takes about 2 minutes, then crashes.

How long time is normal for loading all the hands in the hands tab? I have about 3-400k hands that I played in my DB, and about 1,2M total, incl datamining.

Are you trying to load all 400k hands at once in the Hands TAB? This is alot of imformation to process if so and might be too much for a lower spec PC. If this is the case use the reports section to view these hands and the hands tab for narrowing down situations like 3bet= true flop cbet = true since Jan 08

Anyway if it continues to happen please go to Hud Options > Table Preferences and enable logging. Then recreate the crash and then go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs and send Mike the log.txt file with details of whats happening to mlamb1@gmail.com but post the log before you restart HM after the crash otherwise it will clear the log

Tried both with and without restarting HM after clicking "enable logging". And I'm looking for the file in C:\program files\rvg software\holdemmanager\logs
