View Full Version : HUD stats dissappear on active table during hand

I have the latest HEM version and have had the following problem accross several sites. Currently I have the problem with Stars playing 9-12 tables.

Typically during the flop or turn the HUD stats for my opponent will dissappear. All stats on other tables remain. When the hand is finished, the stats return.

Very annoying, please can you help?

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/Hm_1.11.06_Internal.exe

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

I am using windows 7 home premium. Norton 360 is my firewall and anti-virus.

I have downloaded the latest version and the files you mention are run as administrator but the problem persists.

...... I have just disabled the Norton 360 firewall and booted up a few tables and seems to be running fine, so I guess this means my firewall is the problem?

Can you suggest a way around this as I obviuosly dont want to have to disable my firewall.?

I updated to 1.11.06 Today. And my computer has been retarted since.

I have a similar problem. I have the problem on stars. Started the session with no problems. Then after some time I did not see some of the tables. Other tables were functioning normal. I have Norton 360 and play about 12 tables on stars of 3/6, NL Cashgames.

I have windows 7, home. I did send you a screencopy to your support email, along with the HUD data folder.

I did do the allowances. Both when installing, and adding the HUD as well. So I really do not understand, why some tables are not working... I have the same problem in the replayer as well.

I am grinding SNE. This problem is very annoying. And I do need my HUD working with no problems. Is there any how to get an older version, and no problems?

I upgraded to Norton 360 version 4.0 and have allowed allowed full access to the 5 programs listed then restarted my PC to ensure the changes take effect but now I have the same problem as before - HUD stats disappearing during hand.

Any ideas?

I guess version 4.0 but must have some extra features that need to be turned off, but I cant see anything obviuos and dont want to compromise it.

I have looked into going back to 3.0 but there doesnt seem an easy way to do this, but I'm no tech expert(!)

Can you turn off Norton's firewall and reboot as a test.

Also update to http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/Hm_1.11.06a_Internal.exe

I have updated using the link you gave but it does not solve the problem.

Also, when I switch off the firewall the problem remains. This was not the case with version 3.0 of norton 360, switching off the firewall solved the problem.

Any ideas what the extra features are in Norton 360 v4.0 that are causing the problem?

I still have the problem, and it remains when I disable firewall. As its intermittent I cant have left firewall off for long enough when I did the previous test with v3 and v4.

So in summary;
-HUD stats disappear during hand
-Ive had this problem for a year or so ever since Ive been using HUD and with several sites
-We thought it was firewall, but the problem persists with firewall switched off
-Ive installed all the latest HM patches


Please can someone link up with my PC to look into problem?

Please dont send me another patch, unless theres a specific reason why it will fix my problem, as every time Ive been downloaded the patches Ive been having to reconfigure the stats on my report page.

Did you turn ON Windows Firewall and add:
\holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are to the exceptions to the windows firewall.

Which SQL version are you using?
Can you update to 8.4.7 from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org) and reimport your hands into a new database.

Yes firewall is turned on with the 5 programs allowed in program control of norton 360.

Im using Postgres 8.4, but I dont want to re-import all my hands on the off chance that it will solve the problem. Re-importing will tie up my PC for a long time.

When was this latest version of postgres released and what is it about the new release that will solve this problem?

As I said I've had this probelm for a year. If its really due to having an older version of postgres, wouldn't a lot more of your customers have had the same problem as me in the last year?

Therefore I think its something specific to the way I'm running the programs that I need help with. Can someone link up to my PC?

I had the teamviewer support session, but I am still getting the problem. It wasn't easy to re-create the scenario during the session after the changes were made to do a proper test. I noticed it was not working again the next day but I've been too busy to sort it out and on holiday. Can we set up anotherv teamviewer session.

same problem. It's not flashing, when check "force ontop" in "table settings". And when check "force on top" + "active tables only" then other way round - stats are dissapeared on all tables except active :/

We did this process and updated graphics card during teamveiwer session, it has made no difference.

@steve: if we can't figure it out via teamviewer there is nothing else i can do in the forums. So you should mail support for another session.
