I reinstalled HM due to root element problem and now the hands dont seem to be importing.
c/program files/full tilt poker/handhistory is where they are being saved in FTP (in english and saved)
c/program files/full tilt poker/handhistory+subfolders is saved in HM (current import folders)
When i start auto import table manager appears but there is no hud and the hands do not import

I have the same problem. Instaled yesterday ftp after a while. Have last HM1 update, ftp set to english, chat set to everything. Ftp is saveing hands but hm can't track. I even try to import directly from file and i got info then 56 hands can't be tracked, tracked hands=0.
Any ideas ?

Please create a new database.

1) Click the database name in the bottom right corner (2nd in)

2) Click the green + sign

3) Name it, click ok.

4) Import the hands from c:\hm2archive

Please follow these steps completely:

http://forums.holdemmanager.com/bug-reports/104721-no-hud-table-only-3-hands-showing.html

We will need the answers to the questions in the thread as well as the log.

Update:
http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release_1.13.01_04Jun2013.exe

If you play on FullTiltPoker.EU, play 1 hand at a regular (non-RUSH) table and use the TableFinder on this table: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/60/ConfiguringTableFinderToShowHUD
Alternative, edit the exenames.txt file in the HoldemManager folder, and add the .exe for the .EU client.

I did the update and everything worked fine for a day. A new flowered shaped orange coloured HM icon appeared on my desktop which worked fine. The previous spade shaped HM icon which i had always used no longer worked. But now when i click on either icon i get this message "error occured while reading the hm config file root element is missing hm will now backup the old config file and create a new one."
I now cant even get to the main HM page, all i have is the rectangle HM validating box stuck on my screen.

0. Make sure you have installed the latest Beta version.
1. Note your database connection settings from the database management (server name: 127.0.0.1; port number: 5432; login name: postgres; password: postgrespass)
2. Close holdemmanager
3. Go to the folder config in the holdemmanager installation path
4. Rename the file holdemmanager.config to holdemmanager.config.corrupt or sth. like that.
5. Under Vista make sure that UAC is switched off or check the administrator settings for holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe and dbcontrolpanel.exe under properties->compatibility
6. Restart Holdemmanager
7. Holdemmanager reinstalls and displays some messages and warnings
7a. A new holdemmanager.config file is generated
8. Reconfigure your database connection
9. After successful start reconfigure your Auto-import settings
10. Table manager should start again.

If none of that helps, I would suggest a clean reinstall:

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/126/Using+Revo+Uninstaller+

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/99/Reinstalling+HEM+without+Losing+Preferences+

1) Export any custom HUD configs individually, make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder, and any other important files. If you have custom filters/reports/stats, just copy the entire \holdem manager folder before uninstalling.
2) Uninstall HM with Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily, Forced Uninstall, Leftovers Uninstaller (http://www.revouninstaller.com) using the Deep setting. You do not need to uninstall PostgreSQL.
3) If given the option, on the 2 following screens of Revo, remove any registry entries and leftover files. If you have Holdem Manager 2 installed do not delete any folders in C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager. If Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\Application Data\HoldemManager.
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Holdem_Manager_Setup.exe. You should un-check the PostgreSQL Option when running the combo installer.
6) Update to the latest patch - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/releases/373771-latest-internal-beta-hm1-update.html
6) Test if it for a while and see if it works

Did you follow the last part of Fozzy's post?

Please take and attach a screen shot - Capture a Screen Shot of your Desktop or the Active Window in Windows (http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/general/ht/winscreenshot.htm)

For 8/7/Vista, there is a built-in Snipping Tool in Start - Accessories.

error occured while reading the hm config file root element is missing hm will now backup the old config file and create a new one."

After this message i click ok and a new box appears saying.. "Microsoft.Net Framework"
" Unhandled exeption has occured in your application. Cannot create a file when that file already exists"

Does this mean i have to reinstall?

I am so bad with computers, i took a screenshot made a file in paint but cant work out how to post it on here.

Run a manual Windows Update and install all updates, including all .net framework updates.

Go to the folder config in the holdemmanager installation path
Delete the file holdemmanager.config

Update to:

Hello,

I just switched to the 24th June version 1.13.01 and my HUD isn't working for MTTs, hands are importing though and I can see the table in the table manager.

My windows is updated, FTP is in english.

Rush MTTs or normal MTTs?

For normal MTTs please try the table finder
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/60/Configuring+Table+Finder+to+Show+HUD+

Rush MTTs are not supported yet.

It should work for tourneys.

1. What exact version of Holdem Manager are you using? (e.g. 1.12.11)
2. What poker site are you playing on and does the problem occur on more than one site?
3. Which type of game(s) are you playing? (NL, FL, Omaha, SnGs, MTT, zoom, rush, speed, etc)
4. Have you clicked on the Start Auto Import button?
5. Often times, it is one setting or option that's not correct in your poker client. Please see our Detailed FAQs on configuring Holdem Manager to work with poker sites to make sure your poker site is saving Hand History files.
6. Check to see if the hand histories are showing up in the folder that you configured in HM to auto import from.
7. If you think the hands are importing the please go to the reports TAB, select your username and run a report with all filters off to confirm they have imported.
8. If the hand histories show up in the auto import folders, but they're not importing into the database, please create a new database and try importing some hands to test if it's a corrupt database. http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database
9. Have you tried the Table Finder and did it work? http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/60/Configuring+Table+Finder+to+Show+HUD+
10. If you open the hand history files, are they written in English?
11. Please attach your holdemmanager.config file from C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder. It may be just called holdemmanager if youve extenstions turned off.

Rush MTTs are not supported yet.

I tried that and the HUD is now working on some MTTs and not working on others (non rush).
It is not working on a multy entry MTT and a normal deepstack MTT and working on a rebuy and a KO MTTs.

Hands are importing but nothing happens in the table manager

-Try fixing your computer's date settings. It's currently set to the year 2556 in the future? Also set the date formatting of your computer to M/d/yyyy (and not to European default d/M/yyyy) with regional settings English (United States)

-Currently the tables are really small so they fit tiled on your screen. Try using the TableFinder on a default sized table.

I've done that and try on larger tables but it still doesn't work

Try changing the Table Theme to BLACK in the Full Tilt client.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe, even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

Make sure your video card drivers and windows auto updates are fully updated. Run a manual Windows Update and install all updates, including all .net framework updates./ Turn off User Account Control: How to Disable and Turn Off UAC in Windows 7 « My Digital Life (http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/30/how-to-disable-and-turn-off-uac-in-windows-7/)

Thanks for your help
