Hi i just installed windows7 and it's terrable. I can't import hands into HEM from the folder it imports to, and i tryed changing the location to the front of the drive to no success. Im not sure what to do. Everything is installed on the drive i installed installed windows on and im pretty sure i set everything up correctly.
In the import menu it says files imported: 0 of 3 then everything else is 0 and hands/s: NaN/s

Any ideas?

Please follow the FAQ guide which shows how to configure your setting with Pacific FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Pacific Poker Setup (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/12/Pacific+Poker+Setup)

If you are able to import and get errors please follow these directions.

Please install the latest version: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe

Please check this thread to make sure youve the correct import folders setup for your site
FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Information About Setting Up Poker Clients (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/1/Information+About+Setting+Up+Poker+Clients)

On the import TAB check if there are import errors showing up, if so can you create a new database FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Create / Delete Database (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database) and see if there is also import errors with that database

If there is please email the original hands to support@holdemmanager.net and also link to this thread

Thnx for replying.

Isn't it dangerous to turn off UAC? i thought windows7 wasn't very safe so u need UAC..

UAC which results in Windows asking you twice:
Are you sure you want to run/install this program?
Are you really sure?

is sooo annoying.
If you want to leave it on for savety, just manually set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

The issue is both HoldemManager and PostgreSQL need super user administrator privileges. UAC turned ON is preventing that.

Ok, thanks. I was lead to believe UAC was there because win7 wasn't very safe, not as safe as winXP. I will turn it off if you think it's uneccessary :)
I have kaspersky antivirus, so that should do ok on it's own right?

Anti Virus + Windows Firewall is sufficient.

UAC doesn't really do anything, except warn you twice before you install/start an unknown program.

That is good to know, thank you. I turned it off and it solved the problem.
