after purging hands, we should vacuum analyze the database. the steps recomended at faq are pgadmin>database>maintenance etc. but i wanted to know if the option to vacuum the database from inside de holdem manager is also available. it seems to me that it's easier to use the option from inside the hm2, but the question is: is this correct? thank you

Yes.. if you run it from HM2, HM2 will just run a query in pgadminIII.
It will be exactly the same as if you would run it manually in pgadminIII.
In the past the internal feature in HM2 had some problems if you:
-would use a new beta version of PostgreSQL
-or you had PostgreSQL installed to a non-default folder
So whenever there is any issue with the internal feature, just run it yourself in pgadminIII.
