View Full Version : Default popup stat download

Hi
I would like a link where we could download the default popup configuration since mine has dissapeared and when i restart it doesnt create a new file. When playing it uses some configuration but i cant change it(it isnt in the list wher you edit the popup) and there is no file for it. I have had trouble with this forever but now its a real problem since i was thinking about making a new layout for myself.
One more problem i poste in the Bug forum but no one seems to answer me there. The preview is still too small when editing so i cant see the bottom part that im editing.

In recent version, this file doesn't exist anymore.
Nevertheless, if you select "sample", you have something similar to the old default popup I believe.
What's your version?

I updated to the latest today before posting so i would have tested the latest version. Still the same.
I do have a sample popup but that one is not the same as the one the HUD is using. I have to douböle check this though but i removed the confs, started the software and the on the Hud uses is the new one but i cant edit it since it isnt in the list where the only one is the old one. when i open the sample one with notepad it isnt the same that the hud uses. it doesnt have the new "Latest 10 hands" feature in it.

What is the Main Popup on the top of the windows near the "Number of pots"?

It is "DEFAULT main popup" and that is the one i cant find or edit in the popup editor.
Btw any remake of the popup designer in the process? Its a little hard to use it i think.
Btw 2 still the same problem the preview in the popup editor is too small.

That's normal. The "DEFAULT main popup" don't point anymore to a file but assemble your default_popups is one big popup. This works like that in newer version.

You can't change it, but you have a similar one which is named sample.pop, you can edit it.
I recommand you go to http://holdemmanager.uservoice.com/ and suggest something like: "Enlarge the popup preview"

Oh ok, then can you maybe make the original one downloadable from this site somewhere? It would be stupid to rebuild the sample one since it is not the one i want to begin with.

The easiest solution to have all your popups restored is to reinstall HM:
1) Make a backup of "Config" in a safe location
2) Export your HUDs via "HUD Options => Player Preferences"
3) Uninstall HM via the Control Panel
4) Go to Program Files and delete the RVG Software directory
5) Reboot your computer
6) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip
7) Upload HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate1.06.04beta.exe
8) Test if it works
9) Overwrite the backuped holdemmanager.config in the new Config directory to recover your settings
10) Import your HUDs
Does it works?

Was waiting for a mail from this thread but it hasnt come through for some reason so i havent tried this yet. I will do it in a few days and see if it works. The trouble is though that i still won be able to get the default popup and edit it or will i? I mean i have already removed all the settings in that folder and HM recreated them when restarting but there is still the old one.
Oh well i will try it and tell you what i find anyhow.

Reinstalled everything and stil the same. No default popup that is availible for editing.

Yes as Al mentioned you cannot edit the default main popup, ill ask if its possible to clone it as sample.pop in a newer version since the sample.pop there now is from an older defaul popup however Mike is away for a few days so it wont be included in the final release due out soon.
