So, I think that I set it up correctly. On pokerstars, tourneys and cash games work well, but heads up cash games won't record the stats. I am now playing on UB.com and its recording the tournaments just fine. However, when i play cash games, the icon with the stats pop up but it doesn't record a hand. the stats just stay blank. Can someone please help me with my problems? any help will be greatly appreciated.

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions for those files to the windows firewall, even if it is off.

If that doesn't resolve it, create a new empty database and reimport your hands.
