This is cut out of an email I just sent to HEM support: Is there anyone else I should contact in order to get this problem fixed ASAP?

Recently I have been experiencing major problems with the HM software, I paid for the leak buster add on but when I went to register the program my computer would completely freeze up and become totally unresponsive. I would be forced to switch my computer off at the wall.

I have been talking to someone from leak busters support for the past few days. We have tried many things but nothing has worked. Now the same problem happens when I try to open HM ; my computer freezes and becomes totally unresponsive a few seconds after opening HM. The person from leak buster support thinks I have a virus but I have ran multiple virus scans and found nothing.

So at this stage I am completely unable to use HM. Any ideas anybody? any help would be very much appreciated.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions for those files to the windows firewall, even if it is off.

Doesn't seem like there is any security program thats causing this.
I guess its either a corrupt windows installation or a damaged hardware like RAM or harddisk.
You should run a diagnostic tool to check your hardware.

OK, is it odd that it seems that only HEM is experiencing problems on my computer though? What kind of diagnostic tool should I run?

HM uses a lot of resources (RAM) on your computer. So its not that strange.

I'm not the expert for diagnostic tools but i know there is one called "SiSoft Sandra" which seems to be pretty good.
