Non-Fatal Error - Loading DB Modules

I think win7 update messed up my HM.
Win7 deleted all my restore points.

Before I was getting the error can't connect.

I did all of the steps here:

I tried to install SQL and it was hanging on the last step were it was loading additional database modules.

A warning box popped up and it says:
A non-fatal error occurred whilst loading database modules. Please check the installation log in C:\Users\etc for details.

The next box that pops up says:
Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete correctly.
Error reading file C:/Program Files/etc/postgresql.conf

This folder is empty when I open it. I am showing hidden files as well.

I don't know which file to open or what to do next.

I have tried to install v8 and v9 and I've restarted about 20 times.
Please help.

The secondary logon service is a standard windows service which is available on every windows computer. In the latest versions it is not started automatically. You need to start it via control panel > administrative tools > services. Starting it once should insure it works in the future also.


Try SQL 8.2 if 8.4/9.0 fail.
