Hi i just bought HM yesterday and wanted to play but if i open more then 3 tables on ongame (towerskin) my laptop freezes like 10 sec and works maybe 2 seconds normal until it laggs again.
This is so annoying as im not able to play - what can this be?

I have a core2duo 2,5ghz with 2gb ram
should be enough right?

Thanks for the help in advance...

Even with 2 tables it freezes sometimes but not as often

And yes I totally switched opacity to max

Hud Options > Table Preferences -> Opacity and put it totally to the right - thats all right?

Sorry, I'd like to give you good news but I don't really have any :(

I did try a tweak with 1.6.1f to make the clear HUD pixels (mostof the table) RGB(0,0,0) with an alpha of 0, as opposed to being color-keyed as transparent. You could try it, but I'd be surprised if it made a great deal of difference.

Beyond that I'd guess it is some sort of graphics card driver that we can't do a lot about. You could check the nvidia boards and see if they have beta or alternate drivers?

Graphic card driver? Could this be? Im now at work but ill try it when i'm at home - thx hope you made a lucky guess i'd kiss you for that ;)

didnt change ANYTHING - i opened taskmanager to look at the cpu usage % and its still just around 10-18% and ram is on 900 ~ when its lagging like hell i cant click anymore on any buttons and the cards "freeze/stop"

Can please some programmer look into my problem?
I think 80$ is pretty much for a programm which doesnt work for me AT ALL. Its useless for me with this enormous lag.

btw: I also flashed bios no changes at all.

You mention ongame specifically. Have you tried other sites?

Please download www.rvgsoftware.com/hm/hmtestupdate.exe and if you still have issues go into player prefs and set opacity to 100% (ie all the way to the right)

I'm sorry for not responding sooner but even after I read the thread I don't have much to add to my orignal reply:(

"Beyond that I'd guess it is some sort of graphics card driver that we can't do a lot about. You could check the nvidia boards and see if they have beta or alternate drivers?"

I tried opening 8 ongame tables and everything seemed fine for me. I'll look at it again when I get back next month if I can think of anything to change. To be honest, this isnt going to get fixed soon though.

hey,

not sure they can do much about it. the hud has a few other issues for me, but lag is not one of them. I can 6-table without any lag whatsoever at tower.

the ongame software is known to have lag issue itself but your pc seems decent. do you have lots of other stuff running on the pc? is something keeping the hd really busy?

not really i mean icq/skype is running and one normal skript but my cpu says like 5-25% usage maybe 30 but never more and it "laggs" so its not due to 100% cpu usage - its something different but i dont know what.

My guess would be the graphics card is responsible - or rather the driver. Some guys with ati cards found an alternate driver that worked OK. You might want to look on the NVIDIA site

Thing is: I have a Lenovo Notebook and if I install the notebook (allthough i bought a new windows xp on my own) it doesnt allow me to install any other graphic drivers except the drivers from the lenovo page (where there is just one...) ;( ?

I have the same problems when playing on Microgaming. I've used HM without any problems until yesterday. The tables freezes when I auto import and the HUD is also working slow. I'm playing on a healthy 1.83 GHz HP Pavilion dv9380 and the HM database hasn't grown big yet. How can I fix this problem?

I had a problem with Microgaming where i specified "C:\microgaming" + subfolders as the import option. This slowed the import down to a crawl because there were too many files to check through.

I solved it by specifying c:\microgaming\poker\sitename" as the folder and with no sub folder. It meant I had to go through and add each site individually.

Hope this helps.

I have the same problem! Whenever I open 4-6 tables, after 5 minutes my HUD updates VERY slowly (once in 10 minutes or so). I updated my drivers and have the newest HM version and no other software running (except Hand Grabber of course because the is STILL no Ongame support...).

Attach or email your holdemmanager.config file from C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder, i want to see if you have it scanning obsolete folders that might slow it down. morny@holdemmanager.net

I had a guy yesterday scanning hes c:\program files\ folder and subfolders and HM was trying to import hundreds of non HH files from loads of folders which slowed everything down
