HM is causing my Poker Stars tables to freeze. Freezing occurs w/as little as one table open. I have done everything on your on your "Top 10 Performance Tips" except purchase a new SSD hard disk. Before I do, could you please tell me if there is anything more I should try & what SSD hard disk would be best for the system I am running, as your list is dated 05/2009.

I have... Gateway FX6840-21, Intel Core i5-650 processor, 3.2GHz w/Turbo Boost up to 3.46GHz (4MB Smart Cache), WN7 Hm Premium 64-bit, 8GB DDR3 dual-channel 1333MHz memory (4x2048MB), 4DDR3 slots, 1TB SATA hard drive, ATI Radeon HD5570 Graphics card w/1GB of Discrete Video memory, 500W power supply. I am running the current HM 1.11.05e. I have tried going back to the previous version and this didn't work. I have my priority set to high for HMHud.exe, HMImport.exe and HoldemManager. I have 3CPU and have all three HM running on "All Processors". I have HM, PostgreSQL, & Poker Stars running as administrator. I am not even running my TableNinja. I am at a loss, but not very "Tec savvy" so most of the time I'm lost.

The problem is causing me to time out on my tables so any help you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks!

Please disable prefetch and live-tracking under site options->stars.

If it still happens please attach your holdemmanager.config file from C:\Program Files(X86)\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder (or something similar depending on your installation). It may be just called holdemmanager if you've extenstions turned off.

iv just managed to solve this problem myself, it may be the same as yours..

when my stars crashes/lags up i went to Task Manager and saw 100% cpu usage yet no process was using any. after i went to Resource Monitor i saw postgres.exe was using 30-32%~ cpu per core.

a quick restart of postgreSQL and the problem was fixed.

it started when i refreshed a 10k~ hand graph mid session so for now im just going to practice prevention rather than try to fix why it happens.

hope that helps.

Sorry, a little help please... I tried to open this file to cut/paste & received a message stating "windows can't open this file, needs to know what program you want to use to open it" I tried to click & drag, that put the file up but I lost this page. So how do I attach the holdemmanager.config file?

Reply to this post--> Manage Attachments--> Attach: C:\Program Files(X86)\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config/HoldemManager.config

Or open that file with NOTEPAD/WORDPAD and copy paste its content.

We need the HoldemManager.config file from the config subfolder.

If you want to post the content in a post (instead of attaching the file)
Start the post with

and end with

See if this is the correct one. I'm not really sure what you mean by HTML Code, you would have to walk me through it. Very tech challenged. 5473 Thanks for all your time!

Ok, the file is the correct one. I see no problems in this.

Did you check prefetch and live-tracking under site options->Stars? Are both disabled?

Are you using any 3rd party firewall, anti-spyware, adaware, tuning or registry cleaning programs? And if yes which ones?

Yes I disabled prefetch & live-tracking. I have Norton, it's the trial subscription that came w/my wn7, I have my HMHUD, Hold'em Manager.exe & PostgreSQL Server add/allowed. Am I missing something? Should I have add/allowed any of the PokerStars files on my Norton? I'm not a fan of Norton if you have any suggestions.

You can try to uninstall Norton.
But if you still have problems after this please schedule a remote support session with our support. Email support@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread and your forum name, so we can setup a Teamviewer (http://www.holdemmanager.net/teamviewer) session.

Do you mean to uninstall Norton and not use it at all?

Yep, uninstall it and try again.
If it works without Norton we know what causes the problems. You can then try to reinstall Norton and configure it so that everything works.
