Hi there,

yesterday i did a manual mantainience by opening the postgres admin.
now when i start HM manager it says: (translated vaguely from german)
the following error occured when trying to open the database: it couldent be red any dates of the transmission connection. A existing connection has been closed by the remotehost.

when i klick ok the database control panel of the postgres sql opens.
if i try to connect the same errormessage pops up.

i tried to open the postgres admin and my database in it. now it said:
error connection to the server. server closed the connection unexpectedly. this porbably means that the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the reqest.

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

First try to reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

If that doesnt help delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it. And reboot.

If that doesn't help you will have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely

but my old password dosent function.
is there any way to reste it or to delete the old account?

your old DB password is stored at the beginning of this file:
...Holdem manager\config\holdemmanager.config

Hi,

Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt > Right-Click > Run As Administrator:

net user postgres /delete

Then install PostgreSQL and it shouldnt ask for a password
