I backed up my db on my old laptop and transferred it to my new pc. I installed HEM on that PC and "Restored" my db using the function. However, none of the data is actually present.

The db is about 120mb, so it must be there.

Help!

Please give us more details.
HM versions, Postgresql versions, operating systems, any error messages?
How did you run the restore?

Version: 1.11.0
PostgresSQL version: 8.3.9 (dl from here as 8.4 wouldn't install)
OS: WinXP SP3 and all recent updates
No error msgs, just no data!
I ran the restore by clicking "Backup and Restore" > Restore > Choosing file (stored on another disk) > Start restore.

try backup-restore via Pgadmin

It's too late for that now...I no longer have my old laptop :S

I'm not happy with this. I'm moving to PT3.

A simple function failed.

If you backuped your database in pgadminIII--> you can't restore it with the internal HoldemManager backup & restore utilty.

Also if you created the backup using a SQL 8.3.x database--> you can't restore it into a SQL 8.4.x database (they're not compatible with each other)

You still have the .backup file right? Install the same version of SQL on your new PC--> and IMPORT the file using the same method you used to create the backup.

If you did use the backup & restore utility to CREATE the backup:
also make sure you have installed both HoldemManager and PostgreSQL to their default folders.
