hi, just started playing on William Hill ipoker

i kind of got the HUD to work, but wonder what i can do to NOT having to wait 2-3 hands until it locks to the right player?

i searched the forum and read through these instructions
my HEM version is 1.13.01 internal

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/390/Setup+Auto+Center+Preferred+Seating+for+Ipoker
i set up the seating in HEM as outlined in the instructions
i have auto center set in the poker client

in Site Options, i have all boxes checked; is that correct or should they all be UNchecked, or only some of them checked? what's the difference?
http://i.imgur.com/D74JFGy.png (http://imgur.com/D74JFGy)

the big question is:
will i always have to wait three hands until the HUD stats align with the players seated?
is there no better way?
it's not a huge deal that the hud is not on the right players right away; but it is a big problem that it overlays important parts of the table until it moves to the correct players.
what can i do to improve the process before the HUD locks?

thanks in advance :)

EDIT:
when i resize tables to a smaller size, everything goes bad :(
is there a size limit?

Your computer clock should match your sessions time in active sessions and reports.

if not, open Options - Settings - Site Time Adjustment and make the adjustment.

The formula is Computer clock - Sessions time.

So if your computer clock is January 1 12:00 and your sessions show January 1 5:00, you would add 7 hours.

If your computer clock is behind the Sessions time, you would subtract.

Please send a screenshot of your sessions with computer clock while playing if there is another issue.

Please take and attach a screen shot - Capture a Screen Shot of your Desktop or the Active Window in Windows (http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/general/ht/winscreenshot.htm)

For 8/7/Vista, there is a built-in Snipping Tool in Start - Accessories.

Please remove c:\hmarchive and/or c:\hm2archive, as well as any folder to which your auto import folders are set to archive, from your auto import folders. This just creates a loop of importing and archiving and slows down your HUD, perhaps even causing it not to show up, and in some cases a crash, as Windows cannot handle the file names.

1. What exact version of Holdem Manager are you using? (e.g. 1.12.11)
2. What poker site are you playing on and does the problem occur on more than one site?
3. Which type of game(s) are you playing? (NL, FL, Omaha, SnGs, MTT, zoom, rush, speed, etc)
4. Have you clicked on the Start Auto Import button?
5. Often times, it is one setting or option that's not correct in your poker client. Please see our Detailed FAQs on configuring Holdem Manager to work with poker sites to make sure your poker site is saving Hand History files.
6. Check to see if the hand histories are showing up in the folder that you configured in HM to auto import from.
7. If you think the hands are importing the please go to the reports TAB, select your username and run a report with all filters off to confirm they have imported.
8. If the hand histories show up in the auto import folders, but they're not importing into the database, please create a new database and try importing some hands to test if it's a corrupt database. http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database
9. Have you tried the Table Finder and did it work? http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/60/Configuring+Table+Finder+to+Show+HUD+
10. If you open the hand history files, are they written in English?
11. Please attach your holdemmanager.config file from C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder. It may be just called holdemmanager if youve extenstions turned off.

hi thanks for the reply (twice)

importing, reporting works fine.

just the HUD needs 2-3 hands to show up properly next to the correct player.
and it gets scrambled when i make the tables too small in size.

Turn off: live tracking, and turn off all the 'attempt to detect' settings. (only enable them if the HUD will not show up at all)

Update to: http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release_1.13.01_11Apr2013.exe

Setup your seating preferences: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/34/PreferredSeating
If the HUD panels overlap with table-information, right-click move/drag to HUD panels to a better position.
If you'd like to make the tables really small, you can choose if you want the HUD panels to also shrink in size, by enabling: hud options--> player preferenes--> appearance tab--> scale font.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add ex ceptions to the windows firewall for holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe, even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

Make sure your video card drivers and windows auto updates are fully updated. Run a manual Windows Update and install all updates, including all .net framework updates. i actually have that "scale font" set, and it works pretty well if i make tables bigger, but once they go beyond a certain (small) size the HUD goes wrong.

once that happens, would i have to drag the stats in the right place again? or would doing that screw up the HUD for table sizes where it's working correctly already.

is there a known size limit for William Hill ipoker tables?
on Ladbrokes Microgaming, i had no problem sizing the tables to the smallest possible size, the HUD still showed stats in the correct place.

and is there ANY way that the HUD shows correctly right at the start of the table? or do i HAVE to wait 2-3 hands every time?
would that be fixed in HEM 2 by any chance? (Your chance to get me to upgrade :))

as for the ipoker site settings:
so you're asking me to turn them all off, ok no problem.
what does "track live hands" actually do? whether it's ticked or not?

another side question:
speed poker, is that supported in HEM 2 only? (i might finally have to upgrade :))

Did you try the steps I sent for the delay in the HUD showing?

Please update to this version:

http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release_1.13.01_11Apr2013.exe

I do not know of any size limits.

1) Close HM and the Table Manager. Please update to the latest beta - http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe
2) Export any custom HUD configs and Copy/Paste your \Config folder before deleting any files as a backup in HUD Options - Player Preferences.
3) Delete your existing HUD Positions files, so HM will rebuild them to default. The location is in 4)
4) Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\pospref.txt, and pospref2.txt, and pospref4.txt.
5) Start HM< Auto Import, Open the Table Manager, and test on a single cash table.

Track live hands allows you to get some information off the chat and table.

Yes, HM2 supports speed poker.

hi udbrky
thanks for that

i (now) updated to the latest beta version.

i also just followed all the steps you outlined.

but two problems remain:
1) i have to have the "detect" settings in site settings turned on, otherwise only one table shows the HUD correctly and the others do something weird. turning the "detect" settings on fixes that.
(i play 6 max and without the "detect" settings set, the table manager shows them as "6/9" players, but with "detect" set, it shows correctly x/6)

2) but the biggest problem: table size
if i go even a few pixels to small, the HUD jumbles up.

here's a screenshot, the left table works fine, the right table i resized a tiny bit smaller, and instantly the HUD goes bad; all player names are all over the place and the "last 3 hands" thing is suddenly misplaced out of the talble.

the HUD goes back to the correct spots (players) when i put the table back to the previous size.
is there any way to fix that?
i tried both with "scale font" on and off, makes no difference (i have it on now)

FYI, the table size that works seems to be 613x463, but i don't know an accurate way to knw this, i tried to see it from the screenshot dimensions...
and smaller than that the HUD goes bad, as seen in the screenshot

EDIT fixed it
so apparently i just had to re-order the HUD for the smaller size tables.
that worked!
it's the only site i played on where the HUD shows up differently depending on table size though, hmmm. so once i made it smaller, the HUD breaks, but all i need to do i re-order it and then it's good again.

For Ipoker HM saves TWO hud layouts: one for mininal table size and another for big.
So you should set up stat positions two times.
