Hey, I was reading a thread on stox poker where a senior player suggested using one hard drive for your operating system and another to keep HM on. Apparently this significantly improved the performance and stability of his machine. I have a second hard drive on my pc which is completely unused, will placing HM on there make it run smoother? and if so, How do i go about moving the program and the dtabase to the scond hard drive?

You dot have to put holdem manager on the second hard drive - rather you want to install postgres to your second hard drive. In order to do this you have a number of options.

1 - i) go into postgres and backup up your holdem manager database
ii) Now uninstall postgres from your C [I am assuming this is the default location] drive.
iii) No install postgres - however, when it asks you where you want to install it to change this to E: (or whatever your second hard drive is labelled as.
iv) No start holdem manager and create a new database - then go into postgres and overwrite the database you just created with the backup you made previously

2 - Use the same process - however, this time just export all of the hand and re-import them rather than using a backup (you may want to do this as well if you are attempting the method using a backup just in case anything going wrong).

This does improve performance and I would recommend this to everyone.
