Hi,

A very simple question: How is 3 bet calsulated?

I understand that VPIP and PFR are based on total hands played, but it seems that 3 bet is not based on that.

e.g. I took stats of 1 player with few (50) hands so I can check.

VPIP = 18% - 9 hands (out of 50)
PFR = 8% - 4 hands
3Bet = 6,7% - but this is only 1 hand. So this is based on 15 hands. How did it get those 15 hands? What is the basis for 3bet?

Thnx,

MadSaid

All our stats are based on the number of opportunities.

If a bigstack goes all-in... and you're next to act (you're shortstacked)., you only have the option to call or fold. You don't have the opportunity to 3bet. As a result all stats are are based on a different sample size.

VPIP and PFR are also not based on the total hands played! If you're in the big blind and you get a walk (it's folded to you and you win the hand uncontested) the hand counts as a 'hand played'.... but it doesn't count towards your VPIP.
