how can i import old hem1 backup (hands only)?

i need to import my hands from a old hem1 backup.

as i see this is not possible and i have to install hem1 first? then import all hands there and then import the database to hem2? is that correct or can i somehow import the hands directly into hem2?

You can not restore a hm1 backup into hm2. You are correct. You will need to restore the database into hm1 and then import it using HM2 > Database Manager > Import from Holdem Manager1
