If you’re doing a clean reinstall or moving HM to a new computer you should consider the following.

We have a backup and restore feature within Holdem Manager that makes it easy for you to backup all your settings, hand histories and files.
FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Backup & Restore (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/418/Backup+%26+Restore)

This is a new feature and there are some compatibility issues with it so if you have any problems you can do this manually by following the instructions below:

Export and Import your Hand Histories and/or backup and restore your database
FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: How to Import & Export Hands (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/98/How+to+Import+%26+Export+Hands)
FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Backup & Restore Database (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/72/Backup+%26+Restore+Database)

Export Your Notes

Export Your Bonuses and Rakeback – Options > Rakeback & Bonuses http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/rakeback-bonuses-01.jpg

Export any tourney summaries by selecting all your tournaments in the Data View Sub-Tab of the Tourney > Results Menu and choose Export Tourney Results and summaries

i'm sorry, i've got a problem.
i didn't do the backup&restore forgetting the notes i've written. I only took care about the hand histories so on the new HD i imported all the hands i did but i realized that the notes have disappeared.

I still have the old Hard disk with everything, but i cannot export the notes i've written there.
EDIT: i connected the old hard disk on another PC running windows 7.
Maybe it's a problem of database that i can't solve.
what should i do?

thanks,
giuseppe

Can you still reconnect to your old database?
Connect the old harddisk--> reinstall PostgreSQL on it--> connect to your old database--> export your notes

reinstall Postgres
reinstall HM there
start HM and do Database management - connect - select your DB there, make it default and press Start HM
then export notes
