When playing anywhere from 1-4 tables on stars with HEM importing hands with the HUD up my computer freezes up every session I play. It doesnt completely freeze but it takes ~1 min to recover. If my comp is even responsive I can usually get Task Manager out to at least stop HEM and when I do the table comes back immediately. Some times the stars tables will completely turn white, but usually the tables/computer becomes temporarily non responsive. I am running XP sp3. I have a Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q9300 2.5GHz, 3.2GB RAM. I dont run any other major programs while im playing/importing hands. Im using beta 21 but have had this problem with every version ive used. As I was typing this an error message popped up saying:

Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Importing\Status\Command.dat' is denied.

I clicked on details and got this:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Id say this is due to having 2 conflicting auto import folders for example:

1) C:\Program Files\PokerStars\HandHistory + subfolders (+Archive Files)
2) C:\Program Files\PokerStars\HandHistory\Myusername + subfolders (+Archive)

So both folders are trying to access the same files and subfolders and it can cause permission issues

If so please delete one and restart HM

This can also cause alot of problems so if theres still outstanding issues after you change that then let me know

When i look at my auto import folders in HEM I only see one for pokerstars and one for Full Tilt. Should I be looking somewhere else.

I also looked in the Stars folder and didnt see anything out of the ordinary. Where should I be looking to delete the extra folder from?

Weird anytime i seen this it was with a double folder, maybe its something else, please attach your holdemmanager.config file from C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder and if theres nothing obvious maybe we can arrange to do a teamviewer.com session

Do you have any other software that might be scanning that folder, please try disabling or uninstalling your antivirus as these can sometimes scan the folders and cause big lag as there scanning every file that HM tries to import

Ok here is the config file. I do have kaspersky running at all times in the background. I can try disabling it and see if it helps, but hopefully theres a way to exclude that folder so my antivirus can still run while I play. Thanks again.

I excluded the whole pokerstars folder from my antivirus so its never going to be scanned. I havent played enough yet to know whether its made a diff or not....sometimes my computer sounds like its working way too hard for the amount of stuff going on at the time.

-Edit:

I test scanned my computer to make sure kaspersky was excluding the entire poker stars folder from being scanned. It was, but during the scan it froze up again for ~2 mins. Stars went blank. Firefox went blank. Not sure if the scan was just taking up too much memory to run with the importing and 1 table of stars but it happened again. Always once or more per session. Thanks for your time.

Your config settings look fine, can you try uninstalling Kaperspy for a while and test it for a while and see if there is a difference

Sometimes they still cause problems even when disabled
