Windows 7 x64 install problem

I'm having trouble with the combo installer...I get a Windows Installer service cannot be accessed when the installation gets to the postgresSQL segment. I checked services and it was set to manual but it was running...I restarted it...no difference. Is the combo installer just a no go with Windows 7?

I'd just like to know what version of PostregSQL I should install if I'm doing it separately. Could I get a link. Thx.
