It might very well be a problem w/ my system, but i've run avira AV, superantispyware and malwarebytes and all come up clean.

This started happening over the last 3 days. I reinstalled HM and postgresql and made a new database. I'm not very computer saavy, so I'm not sure where to turn.

I have noticed that my task manager has physical memory upwards of 60 % while i'm playing.

Here is my system information:

Is it possible to setup private session over Team Viewer or Mikogo.

If not, I'm gonna need pretty detailed instructions for me to be able to follow.

Thanks.

have you seen Performance link in my signature?

Yea i've gone through and done all of those available to me, this problem is relatively new and I still have the problem w/ a completely new database.

Last time I played a kept the task manager open and i noticed that Physical Memory would start out at 38 % and then slowly rise as i added tables up till about 60 % when i had 24 tables up. Also HMhud.exe would take up 100,000k, I tried changing its priority to high and no noticeable change.

I also notice that cpu would fluctuate in spikes from 4-8 % to 30-40 % even up to 60 %. These spikes would coinicide w/ pokerstars.exe spiking up to 15-25 %.

Thanks for time.

Hi,

Can you make sure your Opacity slider in Hud options > Player Preferences> Appearance TAB is 100% to the right and also do the same for the mucked cards Opacity

Also keep task manager running and have it sort by CPU in the Processes TAB and see what is using the most CPU when the lagging happens.

Try disabling as many programs as possible such as AHK scripts,Firewall, limewire,Mikogo etc and Antiviruses and if they cant be disabled make sure you add all these programs to the exceptions list such as HMhud.exe,DBcontrol panel.exe and holdemmanager.exe from the Holdem Manager folder aswell as any of the other programs that happen to be running, sometimes for example the antivirus/firewall etc scan every file thats been processed and it can slow things down so running with as few programs as possible.

Also going to control panel > Admin Tools > Event Viewer and copy and paste any description if there are any error or information events that coincide with the time of the lagging.

Go to Hud Options > Site Options and disable all the prefetch/track live hands options

Lastly make sure your graphics driver is up to date as this can make a big difference to lagging even with a brand new PC.

My opacity sliders were all the way up.

Last time I played i noticed a jump in cpu usage of pokerstars.exe when the lag occured, but i did not have the lag w/o using a hud. Also my hmhud.exe had over 100,000k physical memory by the time i got all 24 tables up.

I use Avira free AV, i don't kno where there is an exceptions list, but i remember closing Avira with no improvement.

Same for Comodo Firewall, and i also added those three files to the trusted files list before last few sessions (still lagged).

I will update graphics driver before next session and see if that helps, will also check event viewer during session.

I did open event viewer and noticed a few error's related to postgres, these might be a result of me uninstalling 8.3 when i upgraded to 8.4 (something i later learned was uncessary.)

updating graphics drivers didn't really help, and also there is nothing in event viewer during time of session.

Please email support@holdemmanager.com to arrange for a Teamviewer session to replicate this problem, do you have any antivirus or firewalls installed and if so let us know which ones
