I think there are rampant bugs in the pre-loaded popups...

Pretty sure there's something very, very wrong going on with the popups...I did a search for similar threads here, and found several others about weird stuff going on with the popups (e.g. HERE (http://forums.holdemmanager.com/hud-bugs/32654-hud-popup-problem.html)), but it seemed like in most cases, the person writing about it just gave up, and it never got fixed. But there's something really funky going on, so here's some screenshots to help you get to the bottom of it.

CLIFF'S NOTES: Some of the popups are 'gibberish' > i.e. the popup isn't at all what it's supposed to be.

(http://forums.holdemmanager.com/hud-bugs/39601-there-bug-old-style-popup-feature-code.html)*** It looks from THIS POST (http://forums.holdemmanager.com/hud-general/38503-customize-hud-pop-up-shown-when-hovering-over-stat-2.html#post187686), like you're already aware of the bug, but I think there's something more serious going on too, so wanted to make sure you saw the screenshots below.

For starters, here's roughly what my HUD looks like:

Now EACH of VPIP, PFR, 3-Bet, and a bunch of other stats are "tied" to the Default_Preflop popup that's preloaded in HEM. Here's what it looks like for VPIP. Just trust me that PFR and 3-Bet look the same:

HOWEVER, the popup that the HUD displays for each of VPIP and PFR is something completely weird/random.

I don't know what those popups are, but they sure aren't the Default_Preflop popup. HERE's what it SHOULD look like (this is the popup for 3-Bet...as far as I can tell, it's working correctly):

That's as far as I've tinkered for now, but I think that's enough for you to see that something really screwy's going on...

EUREKA (sort of)

Just had a breakthrough in trouble-shooting this, which actually links the two popup bugs I mention above, which should aid you greatly in fixing them (I also stumbled onto a crude workaround).

I realized that the popups that were gibberishy/screwy for me were: VPIP, PFR, # Hands, 3-Bet, Flop Continuation Bet and a few others...which are exactly the ones that have the greyed-out-radio-button bug that I mentioned above, and which has been documented by others. So that was the first 'breakthrough' >> the problems are definitely linked.

It ALSO dawned on me that those 3 stats were among the first I added to the "default" layout that I created when I first got HEM 1.5 years ago...and off of which every one of my subsequently-created layouts was based.

Here's the crude workaround solution I stumbled onto, which probably also gives you a clue as to where the problem is: All you have to do to remedy it is to REMOVE a particular stat to the left-hand pane, and then add it right back in to the right-hand pane, and boom: fixed.

I know very little about coding, but this suggests to me that there was some sort of bug in the code as it had been originally-written, and in the process of updating HEM / the HUD, the buggy code was fixed, but it did NOT properly include a fix for people (like me) who had already added the buggy stats/popups to a layout.

Make sense?

CAUTION: moving any stat to the left window then back to the right will delete any color ranges / formatting you had set for it; whatever; small price to pay...

Ok the issue is that its not saving the tickbox in settings when you click it as you suggested, you'll notice if you tick a box and then move to the next stat and back again the tick is gone, once we fix this bug you'll be able to operate as normal without the workaround
