I installed openVPN today, from strongVPN.

Since then I get the "impossible to read the data from the transport connexion : an existing connection must have been closed by the distant host" error message whenever I try to access the database or launch it. And this, even when openVPN is off, with the openVPN service closed.

I have done this already :
-Turning off the computer
-Turning off Postgres services and restarting it (it starts without problem).
Still same problem.

I have win XP SP3, no firewall and no antivirus. Malware free as well. ie this has to be related 100% to the install of my VPN, but no clue what to look for..

I guess the VPN redirects the ip adress 127.0.0.1 and so HM can no longer connect to postgresql.
Not sure how to configure the VPN, maybe you need to use another IP adress for your localhost or add an exception?

Actually I was wrong, it's not OpenVPN's fault. I forgot that I had installed a proxy program called Proxifier just before that and it's that program which caused problems. After uninstalling it tonight (I don't need it anymore) and rebooting, HEM works fine again :).

Sorry and thanks for the help.
