Hi,

This happened when I updated to the latest version, 1.11.05c. I don't know what version I used before that.

Every time I click on a table or an action is required on a table and it steals focus, the HUD flickers (disappear for 1/5 of a second and returns) at the table selected. This did not happen before the update.

I'm running windows XP SP3

Please try with table preferences -> force on top
and please make sure that your graphic card driver is uptodate

force on top worked, thanks :)

Is there another solution for this? I can't use force on top because I have to overlap my tables. There was never any flickering before I updated to 1.11.05d (I updated my graphics card drivers and all HEM programs are running as admin).

Please try to downgrade to an older version for a test: FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Download Links For Past Builds (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/426/Download+Links+For+Past+Builds)

I reverted to build 1.11.05a and the flickering stopped. I also tried .05b which didn't work. I didn't bother trying .05c since paddington said he had issues with it.

What causes the flickering? I'd obviously rather be using the most up to date build. Will there be a fix for this in the next release? Thanks for the help.

Ill see if there is anything we changed that might have caused this

I tried to reproduce this with both forceontop on and off and couldn't which suggests its something specific causing it, Please install the latest version: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe and go to C:/Program Files/RVGSoftware/HoldemManager/Config folder and make a backup of prefs.xml and then close Holdem Manager and delete the original prefs.xml and restart HM and it should create a new default prefs.xml file, please test with that version and see if the problem persists but dont change any settings in your preference before testing it, let me know how that goes and then if you can still reproduce well setup a teamviewer session

I did all this, and the hud still "blinks/flickers" every time the table becomes active.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/Hm_1.11.06_Internal.exe

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Windows vista. No Anti virus or Firewall except the one in my router. Did not have this problem before I updated to the latest version. Then updated to the latest beta, and it is still there.

Vista is updated to Service Pack 2?
Manually run a Windows update and install all updates.

If that doesn't resolve it, reinstall HoldemManager using the 93 mb full installer @ http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/Holdem_Manager_Setup.exe

(backup your custom HUD, before you do this)

Vista is updated. I work as a network admin and know my computers, so dont worry about that part. Everything is in order here.

Do you really expect the reinstall to fix anything or are you just going through every step you can think of? Dont really wanna do that unless you actually think that will fix it (I dont).

Reinstall HM with the full installer to a different folder and startup from that location just as a test if you then still have the same issue.

You have no other program / AHK script installed that can mess with table focus?

You have User Account Control turned off or Pacific main exe has administrator privileges?

Are you using a dual monitor setup, using UltraMon or special software?

No scripts etc to mess with focus.
UAC turned off.
pacificpoker.exe has admin privs.

I am using a dual monitor setup and Ultramon. Will try HM in a different folder later.

Hello, today I installed 1.11.05e (i was using 1.11.05 before) and now everytime when a table gets a focus or the hand ends, the hud flickers at pacific.
I switched on Forceontop but nothing changed

I am using windows 7 (with cyrillic keyboard layout support)

I installed an old version:

1.10.06a Hold'Em Manager - Poker Tracking and Online Analysis Software (http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmB...e_1.10.06a.exe)

and that fixed it.

Try: http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/Hm_1.11.06_Internal.exe

It did not improve the situation...
Only reverting back to 1.11.05a is solving the problem

I installed 1.11.06a and the problem still exists.
any news about it?
also my license was updated.
can I revert back to 1.11.05a after the license update?
(I really do not want to put back version which is from 10/2010, but this flickering is very annoying :( )
