Hi,

I had a PC that ended up with major issues. Long story short, I was able to copy my entire postgresql folder as well as my entire HEM folder. My question now is how to go about getting it setup again. I am running XP pro. The old database I was running on was 8.2.

I've searched a lot of the other posts and couldn't find one that had my situation. What I'm doing right now is installing postgresql 8.2 again without initializing the database cluster and copying the data folder from the folder from the old computer. Is this the right first step?

Thanks

Yes :)
And then install HEM... when I tried this I got an error that HEM couldn't find the database (I'm installing on D: drive instead of C:). How would I go about fixing that?

Have you started the PostgreSQL service? Is the database listed when you use pgAdmin?
