Hi,

My old computer broke down and would freeze constantly so I was not able to transfer any files onto a USB key or anything etc.

I did however take out the hard drive and now have it in use as an external hard drive.

Is there any way I will be able to recover my hand histories or database and stats from my old hard drive and load it onto my new one with holdemmanager?

You can try to access the handhistory archive which is usually under c:\hmarchive.

To access your old databases you need to install the same version of postgresql and connnect it to the old postgresql data folder: FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Reinstall PostgreSQL Preserving Old Database (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/71/Reinstall+PostgreSQL+Preserving+Old+Database)
I think you already have installed a new postgresql version but you can try to install another postgresql on a different port like 5433 to access your old databases.
