Installing HEM on New Laptop

Hi,

I just bought a new laptop running Windows 7 and when installing HEM, it installs the HEM part fine but when it comes to postgres, i get an error concerning: "Microsoft VC++ runtime installer" following by "Sorry, could not install PostgreSQL"

Could you please advise?

Please try to download and install Postgresql 8.4 from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org).
If that fails try Postgresql 8.3.

Sometimes it helps to install Postgresql on a different partition like D:
