Hi,

What is the stat for HU, when SB completes Pre and BB checks ?

I am looking for the stat for the Big Blind just checking Pre.

It is not Limp or BB vpip UnOpened, so what is it please ?

It doesn't exist. (not in HM1, neither in HM2)
When the BB 'checks'... he does not raise, so most users just add BB PFR to the HUD, and base on that how often he will check.

Thanks Patvs,

So, are you saying if his BB VPIP is 50 and BB PFR is 20, then check back when SB completes = 30

And, 3Bet % is taken from PFR ?

If this is not right, would you please give an example.

Thanks.

BB VPIP 50% is made up of hands where the BB Calls a raise, Raises or Reraises.
Checking has no effect, as the BB doesn't voluntarily put money into the pot.

So BB VPIP 40% tells us the opponent folds 60% of the hands (to a raise)... and does not fold 40%.
BB PFR% is both raises and 3bets.

So it wouldn't work as simple to actually just subtract: 50 - 20 = 30... It's even more complicated in 6max games, since VPIP and PFR are no longer based on the same sample size of hands. If the big blind gets a walk, this is a 'hand played', but the hand isn't counted towards his VPIP.

Ziga writes: we have a HM2 stat "BB Raise vs 1 Limper"
So if the BB doesn't raise vs the limper, then he checks.
you could use that probably.

Thanks Patvs for the replies,

But,,,,,, I'm still not getting it !

I'm either missing something, or am completely stupid ( or both ).

I really don't want to be a pain about this, I'm just trying to understand it correctly !

BB VPIP_63/BB Preflop raise_27/BB Call vs SB Steal_39
BB 3-Bet_25/BB raise sb limp_52 100831

BB VPIP 63%

BB Preflop raise 27% = 3bet(25% of PFR) + raise sb limp(52% of PFR)

BB Call vs SB Steal 39% = CvsST(39% 0f BB VPIP)

BB 3-Bet 25%

BB rise sb limp 52%

BB Checkback Pre = BB VPIP(63%)- x27%(all raises) + x39%(all calls )

=17.01% + 24.57%

=40.57%

Therefore, checkback Pre =63% - 40.57%

=22.43%

FFS, I hope this is right, so I can leave you alone, for now lol.

Thanks.

So in conclusion,

I am obviously stupid !!! :o

HU, BB Checkback Pre % = BB VPIP-(PFR + Call open%)

I think it's more complicated.

Let's suppose we had a stat for "Checkback".
Then you'd think the BB has four options: Checkback, Fold, Call, Raise.. (actually five... fifth scenario is he gets a walk because the SB folds)

But Check% + Fold% + Call% + Raise% is not 100%
Since you can't add them up if they're not based on the same amount of hands.
If the BB checks (or he gets a walk) the hand isn't counted for VPIP.
When he calls or raises the hand is used.

As a result VPIP and PFR are no longer based on the same sample size of hands.
So I don't think it's possible to do Checkback Pre % = BB VPIP-(PFR + Call open%)
(which also assumes every stat is based on the same amount of samples)

Are you also using NoteCaddy? It should be possible to create Checkback Pre % = BB VPIP-(PFR + Call open%) in NoteCaddy.

Hi Patvs,

You're right.

1/ I had only just realised, "BB Preflop raise 27% = 3bet(25% of PFR) + raise sb limp(52% of PFR)"

where's the other 23% gone!

2/ And as for VPIP & PFR no longer being based on the same sample of hands, that would explain why I am encountering some players with higher PFR's than VPIP's.

3/ Are you talking about NoteCaddy Premium?, as I haven't got that yet, as my HM2 keeps freezing and slowing my pc down when I use it, which is such a shame as there are so many more useful stats and ways to analyse them in HM2.

I think a high spec gaming pc is probably needed to run it without probs.

Anyway thanks again Patvs for all you're replies, much appreciated.

2: PFR higher than VPIP, exactly, read: http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/2052/DatabaseUpdateUtility (the last part on stats updates) which gives some good example when that will occur.

3. Yes, in NoteCadddy Premium in HM2 you can basically create EVERY stat you can think of.

Okay,

thanks Patvs.
