I have had some issues with HEM 1.11.05 and decided to uninstall it and PostgresSQL and do a clean install. I removed all the old files and folders and tried the HEM combo installer but it was not able to install PostgresSQL. So I tried to install PostgresSQL manually but can't get the password right. I'm pretty sure I have always used the standard "postgrespass" in the past but it doesn't work and neither does "dbpass". Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

I tried the steps from here (http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/37135-127-0-0-1-probs.html):

click on Start and go to Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt

* If you are on Vista, rightclick and choose "Run as Administrator".

A black box should appear. Type 'net user postgres /del' (without the quotes) and press enter.

The user is now deleted and you can (re)install PostgreSQL.

Then reinstall a different version of SQL to a different port.
Try 8.4.4 or 9.0.0 to port 5433
Use postgrespass as password

I was able to install postgreSQL 9.0.1-1 to port 5433 but got the message:

"Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete correctly. The database cluster initialisation failed."

Get same message with 9.0.1 port 5432 and 8.4.5.1 port 5432 and HEM isn't able to connect...

I have Vista 64, have disabled UAC and have removed my anti-virus and my registry optimizer.

Hi,

If that installer fails to install PostgreSQL, please reinstall PostgreSQL using the following instructions:

Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt > Right-Click > Run As Administrator

net user postgres /delete
Try installing this version of PostgreSQL - http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/Postgres_8.3.9-v1.0.7.exe

If that installer also fails try this one it should work PostgreSQL: Choose a Mirror (http://wwwmaster.postgresql.org/download/mirrors-ftp/binary/v8.2.17/win32/postgresql-8.2.17-1.zip)

Today I'm getting the same problem I had before re-installing HM and PostgresQL. Sometimes HM doesn't import any hands. I see the tables I'm playing in the table manager but it says 0 players, 0 hands etc. I'm playing on Ongame and I can see that the HH files are saved. When I stop import it says stopping.... forever and nothing happens. I haven't made any changes to my computer or the poker client it just seems to be some days it's doing this. Any ideas?

edit:

I think I have the same problem as reported here (http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/37946-extremely-slow-import.html). THe import is just extremely slow and installing the beta didn't help.

It seems to be the ongame mucked cards problem. Please delete the ongame handhistory file or move it to a different folder and try again.

Now my Ongame client freezes when I use HM beta 18 and there's still the old import problem. Is there an old version that would work better with Ongame?

Go to hud options > table preferences and tick forceontop and see if it helps, if not maybe we can do a teamviewer session to troubleshoot the problem, please email me with a suitable time to do the session and also the timezone your in.

Thanks Morny,
that seems to have solved it.
