When creating a new hud config it reminds us that only alphanumerics are allowed, no spaces or other punctuation, and all letters are converted to lower case...
Is there some design reason for this, as having a few different configs it would be awesome to be able to use a space, underscore or period in the config name, and to have case persisted. Something like HU_SuperTurbo instead of husuperturbo

Thanks in advance

Yes it complicates things with those characters and can cause problems hence the reason for omitting them

Fair enough, although tbh I cant see why specific characters should cause problems, especially normal punctuation... or ASCII 32 to 126 ??
Is maintaining case, and not converting all to lowercase a possible alternative?
As in multi-word method and function names in programming, it makes them alot easier to read with both upper abnd lowercase allowed:
6maxcashhud -> 6maxCashHUD
