Hey,

from time to time I format my PC. Therefore I wanna know what exact files I have to save next time to keep me away from reconfiguring everthing new. I know how to save my HUD config and HUD Popup configs but one thing that bothers me is that I always have to realign the mucked cards placement and placement of my HUD stats. Is there a file that saves those positions on the table for each client. Moreover is tehre a file that saves my nicknames (for player aliases) and the direction of my HH folders for each site?

best regards

Position of HUD/mucked cards etc, are in the pospref files in the HoldemManager/config folder.

The holdemmanager.config file in that folder has all your HoldemManager settings, so I 'd just backup the entire folder (and overwrite the folder if you've formatted your computer)

Your alias + list of nicknames attached to the alias are stored in the DATABASE. So if you'd create a backup in pgadminIII of your database and restore that, it should restore those settings.

Do you currently create a new database--> reimport all the original handhistories??

Here is a comprehensive list. If you choose backup method it will take less time to backup and restore hands but its not as accurate as if you import manually as this will always work

If your doing a clean reinstall or moving HM to a new computer you should consider the following.

We have a backup and restore feature within Holdem Manager that makes it easy for you to backup all your settings, hand histories and files.

This is a new feature and there are some compatibility issues with it so if you have any problems you can do this manually by following the instructions below:
