I purchased a sony vaio laptop online that should arrive today for around $950. I bought it because i could get 1080p which is 1920x1080 resolution. Other specs are i3-370 processor, 4gb ram and 320gb 7200 rpm hard drive. I play on my desktop with a 20.1 monitor and its 1600x1200 resolution and i don't stack or cascade tables. I basically let them load and like it that way because i can see the action at 4 tables and more tables behind it pop up when its my turn there. My old laptop is very slow and has 1280x800 resolution. I play 20 tables at a time with HEM and HUD on. Of course the tables are big on my laptop screen and once i have 2 tables showing, it overlaps which i don't mind.
The thing i am a bit worried about is some people tell me 1920x1080 resolution would be so small for the text for a 15.5 laptop. I am thinking is this upgrade to 1080P on my laptop basically useless? How will the tables look when i have say 4 tables showing with HEM and TN on? Would it be too tiny? I thought that 1080P would be good because i would have much more space and tables would be bit smaller but i would still see the cards and HUD stats well but am i wrong here? The default for most laptops with 15.5 is 1368x768 resolution and i heard the tables would look real big correct? Can someone who multitables on a 1080P 15.5 laptop tell me how it is for them? Is it better than the 1368x768 resolution?
The reason i ask this is because i felt like i spent lot more money on this laptop if 1080p is useless for me since all i will do on the laptop is play 20 tables with HEM and TN on and surf the web and do NOTHING ELSE. I'm thinking if i should return the laptop and get something cheaper instead.
I see this laptop for $379.99 on amazon on a acer aspire and it has 1368x768 resolution. But would this be sufficient enough to run 20 tables with HEM and HUD on? I would save about $550 if i return the sony and get this one.
