Hello folks!

Yesterday I have noticed that my HM wasn't showing the correct # of hands for the session.

It was showing like 9 hands and I played almost 2000.

So I started investigating what happened. I put the filters to show only the hands played 2 days a go and only 200 hands showed. And it is completly wrong.

For the past 3 days or more, it is okay.

So today, when I opened the HM, this message came:

http://s2.postimage.org/5lw7e3ax5/Capture.jpg

I have no idea what does it mean nor how to fix it.

I pressed the auto import (had not played yet) and tons of import erros happaned.

What should I do?

Create a new database: Options--> Database Management--> Connect--> Create New Database--> (set it as default)--> Start HoldemManager and reimport your hands.

Are you serious?

Do you call this a solution?

Your error is the sign of a corrupt database.
You can try to reindex the database in pgadminIII, but most likely you'll have to reimport your hands into a NEW database.

Is it possible to check for what kind of errors happened when trying to import?

reindex showed this after many time:

server closed the connection unexpectedly This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the request.

Should I press "Ok" or "Cancel"?

Do I need to re-do the task?

After the reindex:

ALL hands now import as errors.
Either due to a database corruption... or a PostgreSQL server issue (where for example your firewall is blocking the PostgreSQL server).

Are you able to create a new database and connect to it?
Run dbdbcontrolpanel.exe from the HoldemManager folder (=Database Management)--> Connect--> Create New Database--> (set it as default)--> Start HoldemManager

Databse is working fine, hands are been imported correctly.

The question now is:

How do I force to re-import the trouble hands?

For the last 3 days I played 9k hands but only 4k is showing.

When I select the files to import, it imports 9k duplicated hands.

I don't get it why it imports 9k hands but shows that I played 4k...

Import from c:\hm2archive or c:\hmarchive

if they are not importing, Please zip and email the original hand history and tournament summaries (for Stars, FTP, and Pacific) files from c:/hmarchive and/or c:\hm2archive

files are zipped by right clicking - send to - compressed folder

For multiple files, copy to a folder, then zip them.

Send to support@holdemmanager.com with a link to this thread.

Thanks for reply.

My problem is NOT solved yet.

I requested my hand history file from PS. I recieved I file with 9MB and 9100 hands.

I tried to import this single file and HM says it has 9100 DUPLICATED hands.

I put this file on c:\hmarchive and the same thing happaned.

Here is what I want:

To force the import of this 9100 hands.

I don't know why (maybe because the corrupt databse or the re-index) but this hands are not been showed / counted on HM. I try to import than but it is not possible since it gives duplicated hands. But the hands are not on the database!

I missing 2 days or like 5500 hands.

The weird thing is that SOME hands on those days where imported, but onlye 222 and 20 respectcly.

I can't start a new database because I have like 2M hands. Will be a huge pain to do such thing.

Thanks a lot!

You have a corrupt database.
Create a new database, and reimport the 2M hands into a new empty database. If you let it import overnight, it should take a couple of hours.
