Hi,

Yesterday HEM started not importing most of my hands (saying they were import errors).

I play on Stars
PLO cash tables (all variants, 2/4 to 25/50)
I have updated to the latest version and also tried the beta version
Some hands are being imported, some are not, I am not sure what is causing this

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Roy

can you create a new database FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Create / Delete Database (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database) and import some of the hands that were previously not importing, move them to a new folder first before importing them to the new database, if theyre are still errors please email the hands to support@holdemmanager.net and also link to this thread

The hands are importing fine into the new DB.

I would still prefer to be able to import them to my old one, or transfer all hands from my old DB to this one. Is there a way to have all hands together?

Thanks,

Roy

Please try a reindex of your database via pgadminIII->maintenance.
If that doesn't help you should import all hands (+notes +summaries) into your new database. You should find them in the archive folder (default c:\hmarchive).

Hmm the "maintenance" option seems to be grey'd out (after i connected to the DB).

I'm going to try importing all the hands to the new DB now and hopefully just leave it at that anyway.

Okay this just got a lot stranger.

The new database was working fine (I was importing the hands over the course of yesterday and today in batches), however during the last import there was a large amount of errors (~50k hands) and most of my hands from last month have not been imported (these hands were imported fine in my original DB though).

I then created a second test database, moved the hands to a new folder and imported only those from last month and there have been no problems thus far. I will try importing the rest of my hands later but it seems that my first test DB became corrupted so I fear the same will happen to this one.

How should I proceed if there are an abundance of errors in my 2nd test DB? (and what if the erroneous hands are different to the ones from the first DB?)

Thanks,
Roy

update to http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Holdem_Manager_Beta.exe

Which SQL version are you currently using??
download the latest version from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org)
If you were using 8.4.x--> upgrade it to 8.4.5
If you fear database corruption try 9.0.1 (note: there is a 32 bit and 64 bit version, depending on your operation system) and install it to a different port.
It should be more stable than 8.2/8.3/8.4.1
