Hello,

I had a trouble accesing 127.0.0.1. Solved by reinstalling. Now I cant access my old databases, and dont know where are they (if they are). I dont notice more hard disk space, so its likely there are in somewhere.

Can someone help me? thanks in advance

Go to C:/Program Files/PostgreSQL/

How many installations are there?
-1: SQL 8.4 or
-2: SQL 8.3 AND 8.4?

To reconnect to your old database, you need to install the same SQL version.
Possibly you were using 8.3 before, so you'll have to reinstall SQL 8.3 instead of 8.4

Aha, right now I have the postgre 8.4 and a "previous postgre8.4". Its a 11gb directory so i can guess hands are there.

How to connect to this?

ok try stopping PostgreSQL, start > programs > postgreSQL > stop postgreSQL.

Then rename the 8.4 one to 8.4backup and the rename the previous8.4 one to the exact name the original one was.

start > programs > postgreSQL > start postgreSQL, if its unsuccessful you should get an error message after 2-3 mins

If you get an error let us know what it was
