Hi ya,
I'm about to upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista and also moving from PT3 to HEM.
Looking for an SSD to go along with old system, appreciate if someone can advise me on which SSD to use.

Specs-
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
2x2 GB DDR2 1066 Ram
Windows 7 ultimate 64bits
HEM
Tableninja
(using PT3 with about 2.5m hands)

Here are some of the SSD i found,
Kingston 128GB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820139136)
OCZ Vertex 2 120 GB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227551)
G Skill Phoenix Pro 120 GB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231378)

Not sure if 120 GB would be enough as i intend to do some major mass multitabling on PS.

All other pic/music/text file will be stored in another HDD.
Also note that this is just a temperory setup as i intend to do an i7 core upgrade in 2 about mo (black friday :D).

Appreciate if someone can give me some advice.:)
Thx ya!

120 GB is more than enough.

I maintain a 5+ million hand database with 60 GB SSD (2x 30 GB in RAID0) (although I do purge all observed hands, only keeping the stats)

Best SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 and Intel X25-M G2 Postville

I always thought that purging hands will also purge the stats, after doing a vacuum. And when not doing a vacuum, there will be no free space. Am I wrong?

There are two different "purges""
-1 options--> settings--> purge hands (will purge hands AND stats)
-2 options--> settings--> observed HH configuration--> purge hands (will only delete the index with the handhistories... which is the biggest index of the database, so you lose the ability to replay hands, but you will actually KEEP the stats/graphs/etc.

After you finish the vacuum, the free space (of the deleted indexes) should become available.

Ok, thank you!! Thants great news for me, since my SSD gets too small.

Is it only impossible to replay hands or are the 3bet/4bet-Hands etc. in the active players windows also be affected (when I choose do not insert any HH)?

I'm not sure what you are asking?

You can replay all your hands as long as you don't purge them.

Excuse me, that was capable of being misunderstood. I wanted to know, if i keep this

from villains from datamined hands that have been purged by the observed HH configuration setting.

Yes... the only index that's being deleted has the handhistories (and thus the ability to replay the hand).

All other indexes (containing 3/4-bet info, $Winnings, graphs, player stats based on those hands, etc. etc. will still be available.
