View Full Version : Copying HEM Settings (not entire DB - just settings) to a new PC?

I did search for an answer to this in the FAQs and forums, but I kept ending up learning how to Backup/Restore my entire database to move it to a new pc, which is not what I am looking to do.

I'd simply like to copy all of my HEM settings (ie, screen names, all HEM options and report layouts, filters, etc.) to a new PC, where I will then set up a new DB and import my hands from 2010 only and leave the old stuff behind.

Is this possible?

I should also noted that I'm moving from XP to Windows 7, so I'm not sure if that adds any additional complications.

If I have to set up the new pc from scratch, it's not the end of the world... just time consuming.

Thanks for any advice.

All your settings are in the HoldemManager/config subfolder
Overwrite that folder on your new PC with your old folder and you should have all your old settings back.

(most settings are stored in the holdemmanager.config file in that folder)

Thank you. I was actually just getting ready to roll the dice and try that.

I know I will have some director structure fixing to do, but I think this will still be SO MUCH easier than trying to recreate all this from scratch.

Thanks again.
