View Full Version : Does W$SD% take into account EV?

I assume that W$SD% does not incorporate EV. In other words, if my EV number is out of whack, it's going to impact my W$SD%. Right now my bb/100 is -3.49, but my EV bb/100 is 9.70 for a difference of >13 bb/100 (only 13K hands). One of the leaks that shows up is W$SD%, but I think that's going to go away if the EV regresses to zero. Am I right?

Now that I'm reading this, I realize that I'm also assuming that W$SD% also incorporates all-in prior to the river.

If your W$SD% is a leak, you -too often- end up going to showdown without the best hand.
This will include hands where you went all-in (and were called) or you called an all-in on earlier streets, where the hand went to showdown.

Small sample size: both the EV and W$SD% can be affected if you lost for example too many (more than 50%) of coinflips. Both should even out on a longer sample size, if you play profitable.
