I have recently bought a new computer and have tried to install HM on it (for the 15 day free trial). However, when I try to install HM and Postgre I receive this message:
"PostgreSQL was detected on your system, but we couldn't connect to it. Please try a new User Name and Password."
In the boxes below the message, "postgres" is entered as the user name and "postgrespass" is entered as the password.
I am then directed to a HM FAQ page about postgres passwords: FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Password Issues (PostgreSQL) (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/82/Password+Issues+(PostgreSQL))
I have followed the instructions to use the password 'dbpass' (with the same user name) but it still doesn't work.
I have also followed the instructions to enable any password/username by editing the pg_hba file but this also hasn't worked.
I would greatly appreciate any help you could offer me with my problem.
