Hy,

I tried to backup my database i think i had arouing 100gb it is in my c: drive that only had more 50gb free, so i target it to d:\ that has 200gb.

After that it gave me an error of not enought disk space, and for my surprise it did not write anything in d: and it took all my space of c:

How can i reclaim that space back? What file did backup create?

Please advice as i want to trasfer my database.

TY.

That is a problem in our backup tool we have no solution for at the moment.
Please look for a large file in the temporary windows folders. You can delete this file.
You should use the pgadminII backup instead.

Depends on your installation but it should be something like c:\documents and settings\users\administrator\local settings\temp or a similar path in your user subfolders.

For the size: i think the backup needs at least the same size as the database for temporary files. The resulting backup file will be much smaller.
