When I restore a ".backup" does that restore all the hands as well, or just the stats only?

All the hands which are in the database are restored too. Purged hands are not restored.

I did a database backup - tested on a new database where I restored it --

the player count is the same
when I run a hand count I still have thesame 5 million hands
-- but when I player search no hands show up for them
(Like if I search for "als____" those names appear - they say "1199 hands" or whatever -- i load that players info and no hands appear - no stats - nothing....)

Please post a detailled step-by-step description of what you did (how you run the backup, how you restored it) and post screenshots of the HM screens where the hands are missing.

Did you ever purge hands?

How big it the backup file? I think we need to test with it.

But the problem might be caused by Postgresql 9.0 as we haven't tested this version.

Dont know why it would restore fine if theres a problem with SQL though.... I mean everything is exactly the same --- only difference is I dont get the hands yet it shows the right hand count.

I'm just guessing. No idea why its not working. Can you mail us the backup file or upload it to a filehoster and send us the link?

Its like 3 gigs so probably not... I'll assume I just need to make backups of it by imaging the drive, not backing up the hem database I suppose.....
