when the loading screen appears it says i have an unregistered version. I then click the active online button that appears and it says that I am unable to connect to the server. HEM worked fine for me two days ago and has been working without error for over a year.

nevermind the above posts, i fixed it. I had a virus on my computer earlier that set my explorer connection to use a proxy. i just unchecked the box and it works now. =)

how did you figure out that you were connected through a proxy?
I am having the same problem as you and might have the same virus?

If you get a HTTP 407 error (or something like that) in your reg.log file it's caused by the proxy server.
To check your proxy settings: control panel--> internet options--> connections--> lan settings

I'm having the same problem and can't run hem or any other program that requires admin permission? I think for windows vista. I'm guessing a virus is the problem. How do I fix this?

If you have a virus on your system the safest solution is a new windows installation on a freshly formatted harddisk.
