Have your taskbar open next time you play a session with HoldemManager.
Sort the programs by Processes--> CPU in Task Manager

Which program is causing the 100% CPU use?
postgres.exe
holdemmanager.exe
hmhud.exe
-other program-

What sort of PC do you have?
CPU, RAM?

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?
Did you update to http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Holdem_Manager_Beta.exe

I had a similar issue several months ago. My problem was that my "Auto Import Folders." I had requested hand histories from PokerStars and it was a zip file. I had saved the file in my hand history folder and it caused all kinds of problems for HEM. It went on for months before I realized what was causing the problem.

I would double check your auto import folder set up in HEM and then just take a quick look at the files within those directories.

Good luck.

Uninstall ZoneAlarm

Create a NEW database in 1.11.05 beta 15 and reimport your hands.

options--> database management--> connect--> new database

in the new database run a import from folder on your archive folder (default: C:/HMArchive)

ZoneAlarm is difficult in setting "exceptions" telling ZoneAlarm which files / ports NOT to continuously scan. I'd suggest to just uninstall it and use Windows Firewall

Install a different version of SQL as the one you're currently using to a different portnumber and connect to that instead.

Latest versions are SQL 8.4.5 and 9.0.0
both can be downloaded from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org)

The error is not SQL related.
Windows Update + a full reinstall of HoldemManager using the full installer Downloads and Manuals - Hold'Em Manager, Omaha Manager & HM Apps (http://www.holdemmanager.com/store/downloads-manuals.php) (where you don't have to reinstall SQL) should fix it

SkyWalker01

then first update the sql and then reinstall the HM ?

Patvs

If you ALSO want to update SQL it doesn't matter if you do it before/after you reinstall HoldemManager

if i reinstall completely the hm will i lose the configuration and the info in the hm db (sql) ?

You won't lose your database. (don't reinstall SQL)

You will lose your HUD, so export your HUD first if you made a custom HUD or many changes to the default HUD

SkyWalker01

how i export the HUD ?
itīs possible to make the same with the configuration of the HM ?

with regard of the sql db, every time that i update the sql i will lose the hands?
if the answer is yes, then may i create a new db with the sql updated and import the hands from the old db created with and old version of sql ?

tks again

export HUD: hud options--> player preferences--> export

When you UPDATE SQL (8.4.1--> 8.4.5) you only RISK (10% chance) of suddenly not being able to connect to the database anymore.
When you install a different SQL version (8.3.x--> 8.4.x) you will need to reimport all your hands into a new empty database.
